How to make the IPod touch remote display compilation albums without Itunes
Using Foobar2000 or maybe MediaMonkey with your IPod touch or IPhone remote app? Then you probably also have had problems with compilations being displayed as individual tracks rather than normal albums. Now you could mark them as “compilation” inside Itunes but if you hate Itunes just as much as I do and maybe don’t even have it installed on your system, this might do the trick.
Solution:
1. Select the offending tracks/albums in Foobar2000 (don’t know about other Software), right click and select properties.
2. Click on tools – add new field.
3. Enter COMPILATION as the name of the new field, close and set it’s value to 1
4. Enjoy less clutter on your remote.
